Scoping Report: Spaulding Turnpike Improvements NHS-027-1 (37), 11238. Newington to Dover New Hampshire

This Scoping Report documents the first of five phases of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate improvements to a 3.5 mile segment of the Spaulding Turnpike (US 4/NH 16) transportation corridor between the Exit 1 (Gosling Road) interchange in Newington and through the Exit 6 (US 4/Dover Point Road) interchange just south of the Dover Toll Plaza in Dover, New Hampshire. The report includes a statement of the purpose and need for the project, a discussion relative to the study area limits, a summary of the conceptual alternatives, a description of existing environmental resources (natural, cultural, and socio-economic) within the study area and currently known issues of concern with respect to implementing project alternatives.
