Health Effects of Outdoor Air Pollution in Developing Countries of Asia: A Literature Review;Research rept. 1980-2003

This document has two objectives: (1) to identify and summarize the epidemiologic studies of outdoor air pollution that have been conducted in Asia$ and (2) to examine in detail a subset of these studies--time-series studies that estimate the effect of short-term exposure to air pollution on daily mortality and on hospital admissions for cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
