The title compound was submitted for a bulk chemical limited analysis in support of the Developmental Toxicology Program. Infrared spectrometry (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry (NMR) were performed to confirm the identity of the sample. The IR analysis produced a spectrum which was consistent with the structure of 2', 3'-dideoxyinosine (ddI) and matched a reference spectrum. The NMR results showed expected chemical shifts and splitting patterns consistent with the structure of ddI and matched a reference spectrum.
