The present invention relates to PTH(1-28) peptides and derivatives thereof. Compounds of the invention which include PTH(1-28) peptides, fragments thereof, derivatives thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and N- or C-derivatives thereof, are hereinafter collectively referred to as 'compounds of SEQ ID NO: 1 and derivatives thereof.' The invention provides synthetic and/or recombinant biologically active peptide derivatives of PTH(1-28).
