摘要

SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) performed testing or data recovery at nine sites in southwestern Colorado in an effort to resolve adverse impacts that would result from the construction of laterals associated with the Towaoc Canal Reach III (TCR III) and Lone Pine Canal Reach I and II (LPR I and II) projects. Archaeological investigations were undertaken at the request of the United States Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) and are associated with the Dolores River Reclamation Project (Dolores Project). The Dolores Project resulted in the construction of McPhee Reservoir, and the massive Dolores Archaeological Program (DAP) was conducted between 1978 and 1985 to study the archaeological remains in and around the reservoir area. SWCA's work along the Towaoc and Lone Pine canals was done as part of what has been termed the Four Corners Archaeological Program (FCAP). Archaeological work on the FCAP was undertaken as a result of impacts to archaeological resources from water-delivery facilities associated with McPhee Reservoir and the Dolores Project.
