Recognition of Human Activity in Video - A Feasability Study

With the recent increase in computing power, high-level automatic analysis of video is becoming increasingly possible. This report outlines some future directions for a research initiative in recognition of human activities in video at the Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOl. The long term goal of the initiative is to set up a permanent research group in visual surveillance and analysis of humans in images, centered at FOI, with connections to both industry and universities in Sweden and abroad.
