摘要

We studied associations between air pollutants and onset of nonfatal myocardial infarction (MI) in 851 patients who had survived the first 24 hours after an MI and had completed a standard interview for the Coronary Event Registry in Augsburg, Germany; 691 patients provided case and control information for subject-specific MI triggers collected by a diary assessing the 4 days before symptom onset. Total number concentration (TNC) of particles--an indicator for ultrafine particles--and PM2.5 mass were the main exposures of interest. We conducted conditional logistic regression analyses using different control-selection strategies in a case-crossover approach and Poisson regression analysis of the time-series data.
