Examination of the Conditions of School Facilities Attended by 10th-Grade Students in 2002

This report presents key findings from the Education Longitudinal Study of 2002 (ELS:2002) Facilities Checklist for all ELS:2002 public and private schools and students in the 10th grade. The findings are organized as follows: School Estimates appearance (cleanliness and disrepair); safety and security measures; noise level; and neighborhood conditions. Student Estimates: exposure to selected school building appearances; and exposure to selected school safety and security measures.
