摘要

This is an overview of key findings about the effectiveness of stipulations used to manage the potential effects of disturbance to raptor nesting in areas where oil and gas are being extracted from Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands in Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. These findings come from research by HawkWatch International, Inc. (HWI) and provide information for management decisions about land where oil and gas (OG) extraction occurs or might occur on public lands. HWI identified factors that fairly consistently are associated with increases or decreases in raptor nest use and activity.
