摘要

Streamflow represents the integrated response of a drainage basin to climatic variables, especially precipitation and temperature. It is essential to understand the sensitivity of hydrologic variables such as streamflow to climatic change because human societies and aquatic and riparian ecosystems depend on the hydrologic cycle. One important area of study in regions of the world that have substantial snowmelt runoff is the timing of winter-spring streamflows.
