This document revises Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) No.08-04 and provides guidance on the parallel agreements the United States of America (US) has with the European Community (EC) and with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries which are part of the European Economic Area (EEA) on the Mutual Recognition of Certificates of Conformity for Marine Equipment.
