The audit found that the Department and its bureaus have taken significant steps to address previously noted deficiencies in reporting performance results. Performance measures previously identified as being problematic have been discontinued, reworded, or supplemented with additional explanatory language. Management controls have also been strengthened. They also hold structured quarterly meetings to discuss and review performance measures and results.
