The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) recently released its final CY 2007 estimate for rice production at 4,407,743 metric tons, down nearly 6 percent from last year. This latest estimate was revised downward from the mid September forecast due to continued unfavorable weather conditions. The rice PS and D has been updated accordingly.
