PINGO A Model for Prediction of Regional and Interregional Freight Transport in Norway (PINGO Enfremskrivingsmodell for Regionale Godstrasnporter i Norge)

The PINGO model takes into account how geographic variations in population growth and industrial development affect future freight flows. The second version of PINGO has an improved model structure coherent with the rest of the national model system for freight transport. This report describes the second version of PINGO, and how the model in calibrated and applied in connection with forecasts for the period 2003 to 2040.
