The FIAS program grew in FY07 as a result of continued strong client demand and donor support. Total project- related expenditures increased 22 percent to $12.5 million from $10.2 million in FY06, although the actual number of projects completed was about the same year to year. The average project size increased by 22 percent to $117,000 as more projects included the solution design and implementation stages. FIAS completed 83 projects and had a pipeline of 80 assignments at various stages of preparation or implementation by the end of the fiscal year.
