Final Environmental Impact Statement/Environment Impact Report. Truckee River Operating Agreement: SWRC Notice of Petitions and Water Appropriation Applications Appendix

In August 2004, pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act/California Environmental Quality Act (NEPA/CEQA), the U.S. Department of the Interior (Interior) and California Department of Water Resources (CDWR), as co-lead agencies, jointly published a Revised Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (revised DEIS/EIR) for the Draft TROA. TROA, if approved, will implement Section 205 (a) of the Truckee-Carson-Pyramid Lake Water Rights Settlement Act of 1990, Title II of Public Law 101-618 (Settlement Act). The final EIS/EIR is expected to be released in mid to late 2007. The State Water Board may consider the final EIS/EIR in determining whether and how to approve the water rights applications and change petitions submitted to implement TROA.
