Control Technology and Exposure Assessment for Electronic Recycling Operations Elkton Federal Correctional Institution, Elkton, Ohio

Researchers from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) conducted a study of the recycling of electronic components at the Federal Prison Industries facilities in Elkton,Ohio, to assess workers'exposure to metals and other occupational hazards, including noise, associated with these operations. An in-depth evaluation was conducted in February and March,2007 and a follow-up survey was conducted in December, 2007.
