2nd International Forum on Biosecurity. Summary of an International Meeting in Budapest, Hungary on March 30 to April 2, 2008

From March 30 to April 2, 2008, more than 80 people from 31 countries and from 6 international organizations took part in the 2nd International Forum on Biosecurity (Forum) in Budapest, Hungary.1 The Forum was cosponsored by the InterAcademy Panel on International Issues (IAP), the InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP), the International Union of Micro-biological Societies (IUMS), the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), and the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS). The Hungarian Academy of Sciences was the host of the Forum, and the U.S. National Academies (NA) served as the conference secretariat.
