Ultra High-Speed Color Videoendoscopy of Human Voice Production.

摘要

A new system for assessing voice production that is built around an ultra high-speed color digital camera will be described. This new technology makes possible the acquisition of high resolution color endoscopic images of vocal fold vibration at rates up to 10,000 frames per second. Ultra fast frame rates enhance the possibilities for directly correlating endoscopic images with high-bandwidth signals from acoustic, electroglottographic, and aerodynamic recordings. Procedures for synchronizing high-speed imaging with other simultaneously acquired signals will be described, as will applications of the new system for studying normal and disordered voice production.
