History of the U.S. Army Cadet Command Second Ten Years, 1996-2006

This history is intended to provide members of the U.S. Army, and particularly those in the Army ROTC community, with a detailed account of the activities of the U.S. Army Cadet Command from 1996 to 2006. As such, it takes up the story of the command where the U.S. Army Cadet Command--The 10-Year History left off. It also is intended to provide members of the general public with insights into the operations of the Army's largest and most prolific commissioning program. In its examination of this critical period in the life of the command, this history offers insight into the Army's expectations for the Army ROTC program during the period. It provides an analysis of the salient successes, obstacles, and challenges the Army faced in recruiting and training its future officer corps at the end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century.
