Reclamation Managing Water in the West: Minidoka Dam Spillway Replacement Project Environmental Impact Statement. Scoping Summary Report

The Bureau of Reclamation is preparing an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the proposed Minidoka Dam Spillway Replacement project. The purpose of the project is to prevent a structural failure of the Minidoka Dam spillway and associated structures. Alternatives currently being considered are No Action as required under NEPA, total replacement of the spillway and headgate structures, or replacement of just the spillway. The purpose of this summary report is to provide a summary of the major comments and issues received as part of the scoping process under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
