Beef 2007-08. Part III: Changes in the U.S. Beef Cow-Calf Industry, 1993-2008

摘要

This report provides national estimates of animal health and management practices from the three NAHMS beef studies. Interpretation of changes in estimates among three national studies conducted between 1992 and 2008 are sometimes difficult. Major influences behind differences in estimates may be due to differences in the composition of the target population as described previously. These differences are documented in each summary table to aid in interpretation. Differences also may occur in how the factors were measured, e.g., changes in question wording, random variation, and true secular time trends in the beef industry. These wording differences have been documented to aid in interpretation.
