Environmental Assessment for Pegasus Launches at the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missle Defense Test Site

The Environmental Assessment (EA) for Pegasus Launches at the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (USAKAIRTS) addresses the potential environmental impacts of the FAA's Proposed Action of renewing Orbital Sciences Corporation's Launch Operator License for launch operations of the Pegasus expendable launch vehicle family at the USAKAIRTS in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Potential environmental impacts of the Proposed Action and No Action Altemativeanalyzed in detail in the EA include impacts to air quality; biological resources; hazardous materials, pollution prevention, and solid waste; noise; and water resources (surface water, groundwater, floodplains, and wetlands). Potential cumulative impacts of the Proposed Action are also addressed in the EA. The EA found that,there would be no significant impacts to any of the resource areas analyzed as a result of renewing Orbital Sciences Corporation's Launch Operator License for launch operations of the Pegasus expendable launch vehicle family at the USAKAIRTS. A Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) has been included in the EA.
