The objective of this one year exploratory study of ambulatory care settings was to identify and minimize or eliminate the potential for injuries and harm to their inner-city patients. It did this by modeling the actual process of ambulatory care, identifying potential risks and developing criteria for risk measurement, and organizing the methods and measures so they can be generalized to other ambulatory care organizations.
