Healthcare Inspection: Oversight Review of Specialty Service Issues at the VA Montana Health Care System, Fort Harrison, Montana.

The VA Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Healthcare Inspections (OHI) reviewed actions taken by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to address allegations that a physician at the Montana Health Care System, Fort Harrison, Montana (medical center) was providing substandard care and engaging in improper medical record documentation practices. This review describes actions taken by VA Central Office (VACO), the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 19, and medical center managers to address and respond to the allegations and makes findings relative to these actions.
