This Research Results Digest (RRD) summarizes the approach taken to create the national database of unbound material properties from soil properties directly measured in the field for agricultural and geotechnical (pavement) engineering purposes down to depths of 100 in. This digest summarizes key findings from NCHRP Project 9-23A, Implementing a National Catalog of Subgrade Soil-Water Characteristic Curve (SWCC) Default Inputs for Use with the MEPDG.
