The Preventive Medicine annual meeting series is the preeminent conference for preventive medicine professionals to learn about the latest research affecting the practice of the preventive medicine and to understand how new research can be translated to practice by individual practitioners. It is ACPM's mission, through political advocacy, policy development, education, promotion of sound science, and effective communication to shift the emphasis from treatment to prevention within the nation's health system. The Preventive Medicine conference is a key element of ACPM's multi-faceted approach to achieving this mission. The Preventive Medicine conference addresses scientific and practice advances in clinical preventive and lifestyle medicine, public health practice, prevention policy, and healthcare quality improvement.
