Fisheries Economics of the U.S., 2008, is the third volume in this new series which is intended to provide the public with easily accessible economic information about the Nation's commercial and recreational fishing activities, and fishing-related industries. The 1999-2008 time period is covered in this report and descriptive statistics are provided for the following categories: economic impacts of the commercial seafood industry; commercial fisheries landings; revenue, and price trends; 2008 angler expenditures and economic impacts of recreational fishing; recreational fishing catch, effort, and participation rates; and employer and non-employer establishment; payroll; and annual receipt information for fishing-related industries.
