Kayttovarmuussuunnittelun Kehittamistarpeet (Development Needs for Dependability Management in the Design Process)

This report gathers results from RelStep projects first work package. Results consist of findings based on the web enquiry and interviews and availability design software research. Backround and further research to be conducted are also shortly presented in this report. State of the art of dependability management, information gathering related to reliability, external networking used for dependability management and occurance of faults in subsystem and component level during both guarantee and after it in the Finnish working machine industry sectory were studied via web enquiry and interviews. The software applications suitable for dependability management already on the market were also studied. In the results the features of software applications are presented as well as possibilities to integrate these software tools as a part of design platforms currently used in the companies.
