Development of a Prototype Land Use Model for Statewide Transportation Planning Activities

摘要

The objective of this study is to develop a strategy for integrating the Florida's Turnpike Land Use Allocation Model (LUAM) developed by Resource Systems Group into the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Statewide Model. Research will be performed to consider improvements to the LUAM model including analysis of the most important social, demographic and economic indicators that affect the land use patterns and establishment of the basic underlying relationships among them to explain the changes in land use activities. The long-term objective of this work is to improve the state of the practice for integrated land use and transportation modeling throughout Florida MPOs and at the state level.
