Cooperative Intersection Collision Avoidance System for Violations (CICAS-V) - Database Structure

The Cooperative Intersection Collision Avoidance System for Violations (CICAS-V) Field Operational Test (FOT) project comprises a number of teams to develop, test, and evaluate a system that warns drivers from running a red light or stop sign. The purpose of this report is to review the process required to conduct a field test involving data exchange between an FOT conductor and an independent evaluator. This report describes lessons learned from the process and proposes improvements to the process going forward. The main implementation of these improvements will be to design and maintain a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that will streamline efforts and resources for the independent evaluation of field test data.
