Textile and Apparel Imports from China: Statistical Reports Annual Compilation, 2010. Investigation No. 332-501

The Commission instituted this investigation following receipt of a request on October 14, 2008, from the Committee on Ways and Means of the U.S. House of Representatives (Committee) under section 332(g) of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1332(g)). The Committee requested that the Commission provide statistical reports every two weeks on the volume, value, unit value, and import market share of imports from China that were subject to the provisions of the 2005 U.S.-China Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Trade in Textiles and Apparel (MOU). As requested, these reports include official import data from the U.S. Department of Commerce (Census Bureau) and preliminary import data, as available, from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency. The Commission's reports contain these data at the 3-digit textile/apparel category level and by the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) 10-digit subheadings in these categories. The Committee further requested that the Commission provide this annual compilation of the Census data shown in the biweekly reports.
