The object of the tests was to determine if several commercially manufactured phenolic insulating products conform to certain of the specified requirements for Type E insulating materials as stated in Navy Specifications for phenolic insulation, reference (b). These products were tested to determine compliance in the following respects:nRadio frequency loss factor as stated in paragraph 5(d) (2) of these specifications.nHigh frequency flash-over as stated in paragraph 5 (d) (3) of the same specifications
