Low Visibility Painting of Lighter than Air craft

Experiments with painted models of lighter than air crAtt indicate that a mat blue-gray color of reflectivity about 20 per cent is a low visibility color for the special situation of a clear sky and sun below about 20° altitude, the model being broadside to the sun and viewed down sun.nA temporary blue-gray paint is described of 60 per cent near infra-red reflectivity that will not injure the fabric and is readily mashed off.
