This tremendous expansion took a lot of vision, brains, hard work and devotion to the job and all who know General Godfrey know that he has been the guiding genius through it all. In spite of all the time and effort that General Godfrey devotes to his job he is never too busy to meet his men and take a friendly interest in their welfare. He maintains a voluminous correspondence with his men in the field who know well that this personal concern for their well-being and effective employment extends to the far-flung theaters in which they operate.nThe record hung up by the Aviation Engineers in the combat theaters and the unstinted praise or the Air Force Commanders who have used them has justified the unceasing effort and thought that have been given to their development, training and equipment.
