This equipment is standard throughout the Krupp Essen Factory, and found in all the older presses, but the pure hydraulic type has successfully competed for all the newer presses. The only exception record¬ed was the 15,000 ton Kreuser press at Dortmund but even this employs hydraulic intensification. Presses supplied to Russia have been steam intensifier type due to the prime cost of electricity in U.S.S.R.
