The material la prepared by the addition of a water soluble urea-formaldehyde condensation product to a foam prepared by a vigorous agitation of a water solution of a foaming agent ("laical" EEC ) and phosphoric acid. Further condensation occurs, and the resultant foam is dried and cut into desired shapes and sizes. In use the "Iporka" may be protected from structural damage and water absorption by usual is lation techniques or by coatings of synthetic or natural rosins.
