To shape gasket materials successfully into the great variety of forms and designs needed today, a clear understanding of the basic factors con¬trolling the selection of the right gasket material for each job is of para¬mount importance. This selection of the right material shall be discussed here, however, very briefly, as the object of this Note is to attempt a presentation; o f the features of some of the cutting tools, and processes used in good gasket forming practices. Familiarity Kith them may go a long way toward avoiding costly failures in gasket Installations.
