Minutes of the Streptomycin Conference (3rd) Held at the Branch Office Nine, St. Louis, Missouri on May 1-3, 1947

These proceedings document the Third Veterans Administration Conference on Streptomycin in Tuberculosis, called by the Central Office Streptomycin Committee, and held under the auspices of the National Researh Council. The purpose of this meeting was to further correlate present day knowledge of the use of streptomycin in tuberculosis, and to formulate plans for the continued study of the many problems which have arisen in connection with this therapy. Representatives were present from all of the groups that have been studying this problem; namely, Army, Navy, Veterans Administration, U.S. Public Health Service, American Trudeau Society, and the National Research Council. Results of the previous year's investigations are discussed, utilizing the case-by-case review method, and areas of program expansion are described.
