One of the most common toolroom Jobs is that of cutting key ways. They may be cut by any one of several methods, according to shape and size of work and type of keyway. The workpiece may be mounted flat on a table top, in a vise, be¬tween mated V-blocks, between Index centers, or in a dividing head chuck. The tool may be a plain milling cutter, a square nose planing tool, a woodruff key-way cutter, or an end mill, etc.
