A METHOD OF REDUCING THEODOLITE OBSERVATIONS OF MISSILE TRAJECTORIES CONSIDERING A SPHERICAL EARTH

This report compares correct distances, taking account of a spherical earth, with distances computed as though points at constant altitude measured form mean sea level were in a plane. When the observing stations are well spread out, the flat-earth theory is an inadequate first approximation.
