Final Report, Emory University Contract N8-onr-525 Parachors and Surface Tensions of Pure Hydrocarbons

摘要

(1) The surface tensions and parachors of 113 hydrocarbons have boon reported. Ninety 30vcn of these compounds are API-NBS hydrocarbons not previously measured.n(2) Group and positional corrections were determined for alkyl benzenes.n(3) The influence of ring expansion from cyclopentanos to cyolohoxanos has been pointed out.n(4) Group values in various branched chain heptanes, octanes and nonanes were evaluated and tested.n(5) Values for the ethylenic linkage in the terminal position and in the 2 position have been suggested.
