摘要

Ferric and cupric ions are effective inhibitors for the corrosion of titanium in boiling 10% hydrochloric acids. As little as 0.005 mole of Fe+++ or Cu++ per liter reduces the corrosion rate from intolerably high values to those typical of class materials. The corrosion rates range from 3 to 55 mdd (0.001 to 0.012 ipy) for inhibitor concentrations from 0.03 to 0.005 mole per liter.
