Procedure for Investigation of Machine, and Inspection and Testing of Standard V-Notch Charpy Impact Test Specimens

The various steps in obtaining the impact value have been considered in detail and the various features that could cause incorrect values have been pointed out. A procedure is outlined that should permit the avoidance of these features and the obtaining of correct values.
