摘要

The determination of the radiowave propagation velocity under various regional conditions and at various frequencies is of great interest. On the one hand, knowledge of the exact value of the radiowave velocity is necessary in order to use radio to measure distance. In this case, we speak of the average value of the radiowave phase or group velocity over a given trace which, therefore, depends on the averaged operational properties of the medium and the distance between observation points.n On the other hand, investigations of radiowave velocity are of great interest because of its importance as a physical constant and in the study of electromagnetic field configuration dependent on the various parameters of the medium. In this case, measurements of the wave-phase dependence on the coordinates are necessary, i.e., we speak of the value of the differential phase velocity at a given point of space.
