PROGRESS REPORT ON INHIBITORS OF INJECTOR CORROSION BY SEA WATER IN DIESEL FUEL

摘要

The feasibility of reducing the sea water corrosion of Diesel fuel systems by the addition of inhibitors to the fuel has been investigated. An examination of nine base fuels and 30 additives, and additive-containing fuels has shown that relatively small amounts of inhibitor effectively limit the sea water corrosion damage to Diescl engine injectors.
