The investigation of materials and methods believed to be capable of leading to low cost, insulated, fixed resistors of high stability was continued.nDuring the time which elapsed since the conclusion of the previous contract to date, work connected with the "semi-precision" phase has been conducted toward the objective of increasing the range span of stable resistance values obtainable. Finished units of both higher and lower resistance values than were previously made, have been pro?duced.nIn the "precision" phase, work has continued on improved protective coatings, insulating molding materials, and contact materials. Work toward, reducing contact effects was continued and improvements in ter-mination stability have been made.
