STANDARDIZATION FOR TORQUE TESTING PRECISION INSTRUMENT BALL BEARINGS

Eight precision instrument ball bearing torque testers were examined and tested to determine the degree of correlation between testers, and to provide information for the guidance of the Task Group in their endeavor to standardize torque tests. Test data in the form of bar charts are presented, discussed and analyzed. Conclusions and recommendations are made. In an appendix, the eight testers are individually described and categorically discussed.
