RESISTORS, FIXED HIGH STABILITY INSULATED THIRD QUARTERLY PROGRESS REPORT

The investigation of materials and methods believed to be capable of leading to low cost, insulated, fixed resistors of high stability was continued.nResistors o￡ the "semi-'precision" type were prepared in the 1/2, 1 and 2 watt ratings and having resistance values as specified by the contract. Resistor elements for the higher resistance values were prepared by a spiralling pro?cess. Performance results have shown the process used to be capable of pro?ducing resistors having the degree of stability required.nResistors of the "precision" type were made in the sizes and ranges speci-fied. These units had extremely stable performance characteristics and tem?perature coefficients of resistance of less than 50 PPM.
