摘要

This is a report of two studies undertaken to investigate the effects of a number of variables which appear basic to the learning of foreign language vocabulary. These variables included the use of words only, still pictures and motion pictures with and without sound and with and without the English words, student participation in the form of pronouncing the words, and the use of varied and constant orders if presentation of the words to be learned.
